The book presents the author’s research on the problems of creating an ornithopter. The methodology of calculating the aerodynamic characteristics of the flapping wing and examples of calculations of various wing variants are presented. The author by his calculations has shown the theoretical possibility of creating a manned ornithopter. The presented materials can be used for creating different ornithopter schemes. The book is designed for amateurs who have no special aviation education.
