In 1988, police captain Alexander Couprin was granted a trip to Italy as a reward for his exceptional performance in his job. He was assigned as the deputy head of a group of Soviet tourists. However, upon landing in Rome, Captain Couprin mysteriously disappeared without any trace. Just two days later, he resurfaced in New York. The story of his life in the United States is a tale that deserves its own book, and it is hoped that one day, he will share his experiences by writing it.
