— числительные, выраженные цифрами или словами: 120, fifty-two;

— сложные слова: well-known, English-speaking;

— краткие (стяженные) формы: I’m, it’s, don’t, can’t;

— сокращения: PE, USA, e-mail.

План электронного личного письма

— обращение (слева, на отдельной строке), например, Dear Mary,

— благодарность за полученное письмо «Thank you for your email message»;

— ответы на три вопроса друга по переписке (основная часть письма). Для того чтобы письмо было логичным, можно использовать фразы: «You asked me about …, I’d like to tell you that…»;

— три вопроса другу по переписке на тему, указанную в задании, при этом необходима соединительная фраза, чтобы вопросы были логично связаны с предыдущим текстом;

— упоминание о дальнейших контактах, например, «Write back soon»; «Hope to hear from you soon»; и т. д. (можно писать на отдельной строке или в конце текущего абзаца);

— завершающая фраза, например, «Best wishes»; «Lots of love» (на отдельной строке выделяется запятой);

— подпись автора (имя автора на отдельной строке).

Критерии оценивания письма

— Решение коммуникативной задачи (2 балла);

— Организация текста (2 балла);

Dear Tom,

Thank you for your email message. I’m glad to know about an annual competition for teenagers in your city!

In your email you wrote you got the prize for your short film about your grandparents. Well, my congratulations! I’m sure, it’s very important to record family history because it reminds us of many happy moments of our family. A young generation should do something to save family history. To do it best, they can record some videos with their relatives or create albums with photos of their family.

By the way, I congratulate your mom on her birthday! How old is she? What is her hobby? She is a very beautiful woman, isn’t she?

Anyway, I’d better go now as I’ve to do my homework. Write soon!

Best wishes,

Dear Tom,

Thanks for your email message. I was glad to learn about your hiking!

In your email you asked me about my ways of spending holidays. Well, I like taking active holidays. Every summer my parents and I go hiking to the mountains. It’s cool! I think that my family is the best company for me because I feel calm and safe. As for extreme sports, I’d like to try mountain biking because it has become a very popular sport in recent years. It would be great to travel on mountain bikes with the whole family!

By the way, it was interesting to hear about your project. How much time did you spend doing it? Was it difficult to find information for it? Did your teacher like this project?

Anyway, I’d better go now as I’ve to do my homework. Write soon!

Best wishes,

Dear Jane,

Thank you for your email. I’m glad that your class team was a winner in the volleyball competition! Well done!

In your email you asked me some interesting questions. Let me answer them. As for sport competitions in my school, basketball and volleyball games are held often. All students can become members of our school sport team if they show skills and good results of training on the PE classes. It’s not a hard thing to do it if you train regularly. So, I attend a basketball section at school. It’s cool!

By the way, I congratulate your sister on her birthday! It was a surprise birthday party, wasn’t it? Did you make your chocolate cake for her? What presents did she get?

Anyway, I’d better go now as I’ve to do my homework. Write soon!

Love,

Alice
