My Morning Routine
I usually wake up at seven in the morning, but yesterday I woke up late because my alarm didn’t ring. I jumped out of bed and quickly put on my clothes. Even though I was in a hurry, I always make my bed because it makes my room look neat. After that, I go to the bathroom, wash my face, and brush my teeth. Sometimes I spend a few minutes looking at myself in the mirror and thinking about the day ahead.
Breakfast is my favorite part of the morning. I like to have cereal with milk and a banana, but on weekends I usually eat pancakes with honey. My little brother sometimes eats very slowly, so I have to wait for him, although I’m often already late for school. After breakfast, I pack my backpack. I always check that I have my homework, books, and lunch. It’s a small habit, but it helps me avoid problems later.
On school days, I leave the house around eight o’clock. I usually walk to the bus stop with my neighbor, Mia. We talk about everything, from TV shows to our favorite songs, so the walk is never boring. If it rains, we take an umbrella, but sometimes we still get wet, and it’s a little funny. The bus ride is interesting too, because I often see other students reading or listening to music. I usually listen to music as well, because it helps me feel awake and happy.
Sometimes my morning routine changes a little. Last week, we had a school trip, so I woke up extra early to get ready. Even though it was tiring, I felt excited because trips are always fun. I like mornings when everything goes smoothly, but I also enjoy small surprises, like seeing a rainbow or hearing a bird singing outside my window. These little things make my day start in a good mood.
I know that a morning routine might seem boring to some people, but for me it is important. It helps me feel ready for school and gives me a sense of control. I always try to wake up on time and follow my habits, but I don’t mind if something unexpected happens. Mornings are full of possibilities, and I like to start mine with a smile.

A Funny Story with Friends
One of the funniest moments I remember with my friends happened last spring at school. It was a normal day, and we had a free period after math. My friends and I decided to sit in the schoolyard because the weather was warm and sunny. We were talking and laughing about different things, like teachers, homework, and some strange videos we had seen online. Everything felt very relaxed and easy.
Then something unexpected happened. One of my friends, Liam, suddenly had an idea. He said, «Let’s play a quick game of tag before the next lesson starts.» At first, it sounded harmless, so we all agreed. We started running around the yard, trying to catch each other. It was fun at the beginning, but then things got a bit chaotic.
I was running away from Mia, and I didn’t notice that I was getting closer to the school entrance. I turned too quickly, slipped a little, and almost fell into a big flower bed. Luckily, I caught myself just in time, but my shoe got completely covered in mud. When my friends saw it, they couldn’t stop laughing. Even I started laughing because I looked so ridiculous trying to clean it with a small tissue.
The funniest part was when we went back to class. I tried to walk normally, but I left small muddy footprints in the hallway. A teacher noticed it and asked, «Who was running outside?» We all tried to look serious, but it was impossible. My friend Liam pointed at me and said, «It was him!» and everyone burst out laughing again.
Even though I felt a little embarrassed, I couldn’t be angry. It was one of those moments that becomes funnier every time you remember it. After school, we talked about it again, and even now we still laugh when someone mentions «the muddy shoes incident.»
I think moments like this are special because they don’t happen every day. They make friendships stronger and give you memories you can share for a long time. Even small accidents can turn into the best stories when you are with the right people.

Group Projects
Group projects at school are something I have mixed feelings about. Sometimes they are fun and easy, but sometimes they can be a bit stressful because everyone has different ideas and ways of working. Still, I know they are important because they teach us how to work with other people.
Last month, we had a group project in science class. The teacher divided us into groups of four and gave us the topic «Renewable Energy.» At first, we all just looked at each other and didn’t know where to start. Then one of my teammates, Sara, suggested making a poster, and everyone agreed. It seemed like a good idea because it was simple and creative.
We decided to split the work. I was responsible for finding information about solar energy, another student worked on wind power, and Sara and Liam designed the poster. At the beginning, everything went well. We worked quietly, searched for information, and shared ideas. It felt organized and even a little enjoyable.
However, after a few days, problems started to appear. One group member forgot to do their part on time, so we had to hurry and help each other finish everything. There was a moment when we almost argued because we had different opinions about the design. Some of us wanted a simple style, while others wanted something more colorful and detailed.
Even though it was a bit stressful, we managed to solve the problem by talking calmly and listening to each other. In the end, we combined both ideas, and the result looked really good. When we presented the project in front of the class, I felt nervous, but also proud of what we had done together. The teacher said our project was clear and creative, which made us all happy.
After that experience, I realized that group projects are not just about finishing school tasks. They are also about learning how to communicate, compromise, and trust other people. Even when things don’t go perfectly, you can still achieve something good if you work as a team.
Now I don’t dislike group projects as much as before. They can still be challenging, but they are also a good way to make school more social and interesting.

My Family Members
I live with my family in a small but comfortable apartment. There are four of us: my mother, my father, my younger brother, and me. We are quite different, but we get along well most of the time. I think my family is the most important part of my life because they support me in everything I do.
My mother is very kind and patient. She works as a nurse, so she often has long and tiring days, but she always finds time to talk to us and help with problems. She is also a very good cook. I especially like her soups and homemade cakes. Even when she is tired, she tries to keep the house warm and welcoming.
My father is more strict, but also very caring. He works as an engineer and likes to fix things at home. If something breaks, he usually repairs it himself instead of calling someone. He also helps me with my homework sometimes, especially math. Even though he can be serious, he has a good sense of humor and makes us laugh in the evenings.
My younger brother is ten years old. He is energetic, noisy, and always full of ideas. Sometimes he annoys me, especially when he enters my room without asking or takes my things. But most of the time, we have fun together. We play video games, watch cartoons, and go outside to ride bikes.
