From the author

The stories were written in 2019. The future, 200 years elapsed, what would you like to see there? Or, in other words, suppose yourself having skipped the next 20 years, what kind of events and life you’d keep in mind to describe the previous 200 ones? Many people wrote stories in the spirit of «there appeared ramps for the disabled», «people began to fight against garbage», etc. But did anyone really dream about a wheelchair and ramps when they were children? Or did they still want be healthy? Did they really dream of helping the poor, or it would be better, nevertheless, acting in a manner that excludes the children’s starvation? The world is changing rapidly, we see it. Let’s create a future closer to what we really want. Let’s stop thinking that follows imposed patterns about salvation. The proposed two stories do suggest looking at the future in a constructive way. A few years after these stories writing, it can be said that the future is gradually becoming the present. Build in your mind new neural connections by looking at the world’s future from a different angle. Important is that the world without apocalyptic pictures will be more attractive, you’ll like it. The creative world can also be interesting and exciting, while all your loved ones being alive and going well. Since these stories are «a look at the past and present from the future», there are some points which are logical development that follows real events of the past and present. Enjoy reading!

The climate of the future with an eye on the past

Zlata Govtva

We live on the most wonderful and beautiful planet called Earth.

Yes, that’s hard to believe. Because it wasn’t always the case.

Just 200 years ago, in the midst of the 21st century, humanity and the planet were nearing the point of no return. The planet was depleted and polluted. The air was poisoned with all kinds of exhausts, viruses, and chemicals that were harmful to our health. This air sickened and killed every living thing: plants, people, animals…

The soil was depleted, contaminated with herbicides and other substances that disrupted the ecosystem. A huge part of the planet has been covered with sand. Parts of the Earth were scorched by fires or affected by high air temperatures.

But that wasn’t even the saddest part. The planet was covered in garbage and graveyards. Garbage and plastic were everywhere. In the water and on land. Animals and birds were dying as their bodies were filled with garbage.

But the most frightening thing was that the water was becoming toxic. The water simply had no time to purify itself from the effects of human activity. Due to the natural vortex, general pollution was occurring. More and more creatures were experiencing a shortage of clean water. In some regions there was no water at all. Plants, animals, birds, fish and humans all began to get sick and die. There was a favorable environment for the spread of viruses, bacteria, mold and fungi, which further aggravated the situation in the world. There was a strong weakening of the immune system.

Human, bird, fish and animal bodies have been oppressed by various parasites.

Because of the felling of trees, especially in cities, the temperature has risen. After all, trees are the standing water that cools down the air. You can find shelter from the heat and comfort under the canopy of trees. Tree roots draw water from deep layers of the soil, preventing the surface layers of the earth from drying out.

In the hustle and bustle of life people did not notice the approach of the Apocalypse.

2020 brought a pandemic, a virus that stopped this run to the abyss. People were forced to reconsider things.

At first, of course, there was panic. People were disoriented. There were different reactions and measures in different countries, different people’s perception of the situation. Someone was terrified and stayed home. Someone did not believe and was in total denial.

Heads of states were unable to work out concerted action. Every city survived in its own way, not to mention the state. No one was able to effectively cope with the situation. Everyone acted according to a pattern, the old methods, but with the involvement of technology of the new reality. People did not realize at once that it was necessary to fight not with the consequence, but to solve the problem at the root. Nor did they realize right away that the social system was at a dead end and that it was time for it to be neutralized, transformed and reborn, to be followed by the rebirth of a healthy life. Indeed, humanity will have to learn to get up and walk, develop, explore the new world, find itself in it and create new things just like a small child. It is a difficult process, but it is inevitable. It was useless to bring a dying system back to life as it was only prolonging the agony.

Therefore, the understanding came that it was necessary to minimize losses during the transformation period. We realized that every cloud has a silver lining.

The stop gives you the opportunity to think, calculate, organize. Therefore it is too difficult to make global changes at high speed and with all guns blazing, you might just miss a curve.

Naturally, first and foremost, people were reconsidering their own lives, routines, values, ways of existence and the soundness of their chosen path and place of in life.

Managers of all levels and doctors had the hardest time. It seems that it was because these systems (the health care system and the management system) had the most malfunctioning programs. Therefore, medical sphere and the government were in the biggest chronic crisis. And the virus exacerbated the chronic systemic problems. They were faced with a life and death choice. So in order to survive, they had to change.

A long journey of development and transformation has begun. A journey of creation of a new world on a whole new level.

In fact not everything in the past was so bad and wrong. There were many positive experiences which were taken into account and returned to (this includes planting trees, delaying the spread of deserts — the Stalinist experience. That and desalinization of water. And many other things).

But first, people began to figure out how they had come to a self-destructive dead end and, almost for the first time, thought about how they contradicted themselves. At that time people were very religious, believing that God created everything and that all are God’s children. But how could it be that humans destroyed each other, hated, harmed, hindered development, were indifferent, unconcerned. Why did animals, God’s creatures, destroy each other for survival, for food. How could it be that the life and well-being of one creature created by God was less important than that of another creature? Something was obviously wrong here.

It wasn’t until we found ourselves at a dead end that people began to wonder about the true nature of humanity and the world. Who are we? Where do we come from? Where are we going? Why is the interaction of people with each other, with nature, the Earth, flora and fauna is so toxic. Why is there no coherent development and movement? Why is humanism not available to everyone? How is it possible that those who govern, decide, treat, teach, etc., are often unhappy people incapable of love and care? There were many questions and people were looking for answers.

Thus it was discovered that the world was experiencing a catastrophe before, and in order to survive hunger people began to consume whatever they could possibly eat rather than what their bodies were adapted to. And so new eating habits were formed that were detrimental to health and shortening people’ lives. The strong began to eat the weak. The strong turned into parasites and ceased to be strong, becoming dependent on those at whose expense they existed.

Once before in the circumstances of survival people formed a new way of life and got used to it, began to live by inertia, surviving. They did not notice that there was no external threat for a long time. But the old way turned out to be forgotten or complicated. At the top of this whole pyramid were parasites. Weak, frightened parasites, terrified of trying to maintain a non-viable way of life. After all, they cannot live on their own. In other words, to recall and restore health, climate, ecology, memory, knowledge became economically unprofitable for them. Personal gain was more important to the governing structures than the health of the world. And it was easier to hold power. But there was also no benefit in a dead world. The rulers were faced with a difficult dilemma.

This is the crisis people faced 200 years ago. We have to give them credit, because people had enough willpower, intelligence, diligence, humanism and courage to stop and think about it and start a new stage of evolution.

Thanks to this we now live on the planet with the richest flora and fauna in the universe. In harmony and awareness. People, animals and birds can breathe fresh air, drink clean water, eat healthy food, which keeps them healthy and young.

People have stopped acting like an unintelligent child who is interested in everything and breaks it to understand its structure, but doesn’t understand that you can’t smash everything. Broken things stop working and can cause irreparable harm. Mankind has become more mature and reasonable, more conscious. There is now a responsibility for ourselves, for the world around us and for the future, including the future of our descendants, for the world in which they will have to live.

Other civilizations began to cooperate with us, the human race of Earth, deeming us reasonable. We made friends with some, learned from others. Finally came the understanding of who we are in this World and where we are going. What we really need in our journey, what gets in our way, what helps, what we have to learn, what we have to develop, what we have to create. The transformation has begun. A difficult but very interesting period. Everyone was able to contribute. Everyone’s experience and contribution was important.

The 23rd century was the beginning of the Path of awareness. The critical mass of people was transformed. It became possible to increase the speed of natural evolution.

My brother and I flew in a vimana (yes, they’re back! Many of the technologies of the past have been figured out and restored) to visit a relative whose childhood was spent in the period of that crisis; she is practically an eyewitness to the rebirth of mankind. Her personal formation, development and transformation went along with the whole country, perhaps in tandem, perhaps the aspirations of each transformed life, mutually influencing each other. The development of countries and the interaction among nations on the terms of a common goal transformed humanity as a whole. Each has made its own contribution.

But now we were thinking of our relative, and we were drawing a parallel, looking back at this almost 200-year period. We were on our way to a birthday party, a major celebration. It was something incredible. A 200-year anniversary! And in the past people didn’t even live as long. Their bodies were already so worn out by the age of 60—80 that further existence in such a body did not make much sense, especially if the mind and memory were lost. It was sad that such experiences were lost and could not be used for the common good.

We were flying to Africa. It was decided to celebrate the anniversary there. Two centuries ago, that continent was the furnace of the planet, a threat to global warming. Now it was a paradise. Gardens blossomed in the former deserts, cities were buried in greenery. The continent is covered with forests and lakes. It’s very nice and beautiful in the spring. It’s clean and cozy. There is enough drinking water and high-quality food. There are still enough problems, but not compared to what was happening here two or three centuries ago.

It is hard to believe now, but until the middle of the 20th century, the black population of the mainland was in slavery. People were deprived of the opportunity to develop, to create, to move freely and to make choices according to their souls, to live life as human beings. It was not until 1963 that the first stage of decolonization culminated in the creation of the Organization of African Unity. Much of the credit for its creation belongs to the Soviet Union. But the first prerequisites for the collapse of the colonial system were laid during World War II and also thanks to the Soviet Union.
