The Tunguska Catastrophe: Brilliant Sky Glows

Beginning in the first days of July 1908, nearly a hundred eyewitness accounts of an unexplained glow in the sky appeared in print. The extraordinary twilight illumination, similar to the white nights of northern Russia, was observed over a vast area stretching from St. Petersburg to Crimea in latitude and from Siberia to Great Britain in longitude.
