Smelly Zombie
A Screenplay by ALEX MASON
INT. A SWEET SHOP — AFTERNOON
Energetic hairdresser DR ANDY SWEET is arguing with clever gardener DR CLARKE THUNDER. ANDY tries to hug CLARKE but he shakes him off.
ANDY
Please Clarke, don’t leave me.
CLARKE
I’m sorry Andy, but I’m looking for somebody a bit more brave. Somebody who faces his fears head on, instead of running away.
ANDY
I am such a person!
CLARKE frowns.
CLARKE
I’m sorry, Andy. I just don’t feel excited by this relationship anymore.
CLARKE leaves.
ANDY sits down, looking defeated.
Moments later, caring actor LADY STANLEY WILLIS barges in looking flustered.
ANDY
Goodness, Stanley! Is everything okay?
STANLEY
I’m afraid not.
ANDY
What is it? Don’t keep me in suspense…
STANLEY
It’s… a zombie… I saw an evil zombie squash a bunch of children!
ANDY
Defenseless children?
STANLEY
Yes, defenseless children!
ANDY
Bloomin’ heck, Stanley! We’ve got to do something.
STANLEY
I agree, but I wouldn’t know where to start.
ANDY
You can start by telling me where this happened.
STANLEY
I was…
STANLEY fans herself and begins to wheeze.
ANDY
Focus Stanley, focus! Where did it happen?
STANLEY
a supermarket! That’s right — a supermarket!
ANDY springs up and begins to run.
EXT. A ROAD — CONTINUOUS
ANDY rushes along the street, followed by STANLEY. They take a short cut through some back gardens, jumping fences along the way.
EXT. A SUPERMARKET — SHORTLY AFTER
KATY PITT a smelly zombie terrorises two children.
ANDY, closely followed by STANLEY, rushes towards KATY, but suddenly stops in his tracks.
STANLEY
What is is? What’s the matter?
ANDY
That’s not just any old zombie, that’s Katy Pitt!
STANLEY
Who’s Katy Pitt?
ANDY
