Prologue

The soul is connected with the body at certain points, but it penetrates the whole body, has its shape and is therefore called in the ancient science of man, anthropology, the subtle body.

Spirit, in my understanding this consciousness, that is, mind, mind, intellect, is connected with the soul and body again at certain points of the body, but does not penetrate the whole body, but is connected with the body mainly through the soul, but also has some specific points of contact directly with the body.The nervous system is the bearer and conductor of elementary mental functions, such as desire, attraction, general feeling, sensuality, irritability, that is, the unconscious and subconscious sphere, and has the centers of these functions in the brain. Through the nervous system, the mind, consciousness manifests itself in the form of sensations, perceptions, representations, concepts, judgments, inferences, and the like.

The spiritual centers in the body, that is, the centers of consciousness, are points where consciousness directly contacts the matter of the body. In this organ, matter is in a state of such development that it gives such vibrations or vibrations as consciousness can perceive. Thanks to these material centers of the brain, human consciousness affects the psyche and body. Of the centers, the most attention of mystics and occultists was drawn to the head center, called the pineal gland, which connects the ventricles of the brain with the cerebellum through a channel that transfers psychic energy there.

The universality of the brain lies in the fact that it is the material center of all trimeria, the carrier of somatic, mental and spiritual functions. The most complete and all-round contact of the soul with the body takes place in the brain, and in it the direct contact of consciousness with the body, that is, of the spirit with matter, takes place directly, at certain points. The brain is called to be a mediator and representative of the soul and spirit in the empirical world.

The activity of the brain, as the most perfect bodily apparatus of the soul, lies at the heart of all judgments and theories about the interaction and relationship of the soul and body, and nowhere is this relationship expressed so closely as in the activity of the brain.
