Alexander Zhidchenko. Traveler, blogger, historian, author of a number of books and guidebooks about Russian cities. He was born in Omsk, since the childhood he was fond of geography of different countries. In 2013 he defended his thesis of the Candidate of Historical Sciences in Urban Everyday Life. Since 2016, the coordinator of the project “I cognize Russia” (RPS). By the time the book was written, he visited almost 50 countries around the world, trying to find in each of them a national flavor in architecture, transport, housing, history, everyday life, etc.
