Igor Patanin was born in 1983 in Frunze (Kyrgyz SSR), now Bishkek. He graduated from KSNU with a degree in Journalism. He began working in television in 2000. In 2020, he left television to devote himself to raising his son with developmental disabilities. However, he continued to write scripts for private studios remotely. It was then that the idea to try his hand at literature emerged.
