ILYA MARKOVETS is a psychophysiology specialist whose work has explored the human mind, subliminal perception, and the integrative functions of the brain. His interest in the parallels between the development of human psychological processes and the evolution of artificial intelligence informs his perspective on the relationship between technology, consciousness, and human freedom. In The City Without a Single Door, he brings these questions into a speculative future where the pursuit of perfect prediction challenges the very nature of human choice.
