My name is Anastasia Bondarenko, I am a linguist, a local historian, a journalist and, at the same time, a bit of a writer. Why do I write? This question made me think — why do I tell people something? Why didn’t I choose something else? Hmmm… Perhaps it’s something that has drawn you to yourself since childhood, something you’ve always WANTED rather than been forced to do… For as long as I can remember, books have always been that refuge, that Narnia and wonderland, where I wanted to go in difficult moments of life. After all, our life, everyone’s life is not always filled with only bright and joyful moments. Sometimes it is sad, sometimes sad and lonely. These are the moments when we need a place to rest, to calm down, to restore our strength… To restore without sinking into this illusory world, because, as Aslan said in The Chronicles of Narnia, «You have known Narnia, and now it is time to return to your world and learn to live there. You have grown, but Narnia will always be in your heart, as will I, though in your World my name is different… He who once found his way here will never forget it.
