Born on April 5, 1981, in the northern Russian city of Syktyvkar, Victor Alekseevich Assorov discovered the depth of God’s love when he turned 33. A young Christian, Victor had a gift for poetry from an early age — though back then, he long ignored this quiet gift. When he was 14, he poured his teenage thoughts into his first poem. For years after, Victor rarely put pen to paper. It was only in 2014 that he began to truly give voice to his poems and songs in public poetry events.
